PULMONARY NODULE: Size of the lesion - Determine the probability of lung cancer - Solid / Sub-solid (more likely to be cancer) / Groundglass - further work up based on algorithm

Malignancy risk increased if

Solid (VDT 20d - 400d), Subsolid nodule (slow VDT); CT features (VDT): Groundglass (800 + d), Ground-glass with solid (450 d), Solid (150 d)
Irregular border (scalloped, speculated, corona radiate) vs smooth border
Eccentric or asymmetric calcification vs popcorn, laminated, diffuse or central calcification
